Victoria Jenkins went to art school to learn painting ... and discovered pottery. Combining hand building and throwing allows her to explore many themes, from traditional to playful. Far eastern art , and an interest in landscapes and water are strong influences in her work. She produces one of a kind sculptures, large planters and a variety of household wares. Victoria is a member of the Ottawa Guild of Potters. Her work may be seen at Surrounding Memories, Carleton Place, the Arts Carleton Place Gallery in the historic Train Station at Carleton Place, and Wood-n-Feathers in Merrickville. Studio visits are welcome, but please call ahead. She also participates in Ottawa Guild of Potters sales in April and November. |
